Putting science into the real world

Earlier this year I collaborated with Ria Mishaal on a science communication project that explored the wonders of freshwater life. We got behind the scenes at a symposium in Brussels where more than 100 scientists and policy makers from across Europe got together to talk about freshwater biodiversity and ways to protect it, in particular from climate change.

We made a short video (watch above) about the symposium and a podcast (listen below), in which I talk to people at the conference about their views on the interface between science and policy.

Tune in to find out what every scientist should know about policy-making.
