How mussels stick

For my latest podcast for Chemistry World, I explore Mussel Adhessive Proteins, or MAPs, the compounds that many molluscs use to stick themselves in place even on wet, wave-pounded rocks.

I find out how they are inspiring waterproof superglues, with all sorts of applications, and may even lead to new ways to encourage molluscs not to stick.
