BBC Radio 3 The Listening Service

I recently made my debut appearance on BBC Radio 3, in an episode of The Listening Service.

I join Tom Service as he explores why music has so long been inspired by the sea, from Sibelius and Mendelssohn to John Luther Adams and the Beatles. And I reveal the the sea itself is a very noisy, tuneful place.

Here’s a short clip of me explaining what it sounds like under the sea.
